These solicitors come high recommended (by other solicitors) although they are known to be ruthless with their billing.
I am not trying to find an honest solicitor but I am trying to find a competent one. I chose not to engage them. I supplied a well organised pack of evidence & document indices. They met with me for 2 hours at no charge and duly praised their own index which was remarkably similar to my own. The matter involved litigation and the rogue’s solicitor had written a vacuous claim. Mr Hewitt, having introduced himself as someone who read & scan quickly had, clearly, not read anything past the other party’s solicitor’s fictitious claims which I had, previously & clearly, stated did not interest me as I knew they were unfounded in English law. Towards the end of the meeting I am asked “So what it is that you want us to do”. Withers had failed to read my introductory letter, wasted 2 hours & failed to win a contract. Withers then wanted £10,000 to review the documents and offer options without any warranted resolutions which they dropped to £5,000 within 15 seconds. I am still looking for a solicitor.
